Sign up for our Member-To-Member Dues Donation program! Active, non-retired Local 728 members in financial need can sign up to receive a quarter’s dues donation from another member who is willing to donate one or more quarter’s dues. The process is entirely anonymous and randomized. Program Details Drawings will be held beginning in the week prior to dues being due and continue until there are no more donors on the list. If a member on the recipient list is not one of those randomly picked to receive a dues donation within a specific quarter, they can reapply to be on the list in another drawing within the same calendar year. Being on the recipient list does not relieve a member of the responsibility of remaining in good standing. If a member is employed during the first 6 weeks of a quarter for which they have applied for a dues donation for more than 10 days, they will be removed from the list and will be asked to pay their dues. Donors can sign up during any quarter that they'd like to be a donor and for as many donations as they'd like to make. When a donor and a recipient have been selected, the donor will be contacted to make the payment. These donations are not tax deductible. However, the donor will receive a receipt after they have made the payment, and the recipient will receive a per capita stamp for their union card. How do I sign-up? Contact the office to get on the “donor” or “recipient” list or text 818-918-2728. Be sure to specify "receive" or "donate" and if you wish to donate more than one dues payment, please tell us how many you wish to donate. Sections Good & Welfare
