Notice of member passing: Brother Calvin "Cal" Maehl on December 28, 2024

We regret having to inform the membership of the passing of Brother Calvin “Cal” Maehl on December 28^th, 2024 at the age of 78.

Brother Cal Maehl was initiated into Local 728 on September 1^st, 1995 and was a member of Local 728 for 29 years.

Cal worked primarily on production as a Chief Lighting Technician on television and film productions. Some of his notable work as a CLT was on Caddyshack, The Buddy Holly Story, Risky Business, Justified, Inferno, Finding Graceland, Harry’s Law, Wonder Woman & Gilmore Girls to name a few. He retired in May 2012.
