I regret having to inform the membership of the passing of IATSE Gold Card member James “Jimmy” Nichols on 9-1-24 at the age of 75. Brother Nichols became a Local 728 member 57 years ago on November 18th, 1967. Jimmy Nichols started employment as a rigger and worked his way up to CLT and CRT. He worked a lot as an ACLT as well. Jimmy was an author who wrote two books and an inventor who worked on creating bug infestation controls using all natural methods for large farming applications. He was also a patent holder. He spent the last few years of his career in the field working at the 20th Century Fox lamp dock. Brother Nichols retired in September 2003 and spent his remaining 21 years of retirement splitting time between his homes in Missouri and in Thousand Oaks. Sections Good & Welfare
