Union Demands Coca-Cola Stop Harsh Anti-Union Actions At Indonesian Bottler

The International Union of Foodworkers is urging Coca-Cola to stop harsh, blatantly anti-union practices at a bottling plant in Indonesia.

The union says Coca-Cola management is well aware of what's happening and have the power to stop it.

The Indonesian Coca-Cola bottler is trying to stamp out independent and democratic unions at the plant.

When workers started organizing in 2015 management harassed union members, fired and suspended workers who support a union. And the bottler has so far refused to start negotiations with the workers on a collective bargaining agreement.
