The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and the Association of Independent Commercial Producers have reached an agreement for a new three-year contract.
The agrement goes into effect on Oct. 1 and covers commercial production across the U.S. Thursday’s joint announcement said contract modifications include industry standard wage and benefit increases.
“Safety and training were prioritized by both parties, and the commercial agreement includes an increase in contributions to the IATSE Entertainment and Exhibition Industry Training Trust Fund (IATTF),” the union and the AICP said. “The IATTF will provide skills and safety training to technicians working on commercials throughout the industry.”
The IATSE bargaining committee consisted of representatives from local unions from around the U.S. and was led by IATSE International President Matthew D. Loeb.
