The New Hampshire state government is among the latest Republican controlled state governments to move against worker rights.
Legislation targeting union contracts requiring dues payments has gotten state senate approval in New Hampshire.
Called ‘Right To Work’, bills like this prevent majorities of union workers at workplaces from bargaining union security clauses in their labor contracts. Those clauses, ratified in collective bargaining by majorities of workers in unionized shops, require workers covered by collective bargaining agreements to pay dues or fees to support the collective bargaining efforts.
These bills are designed to financially weaken unions.
