Target: Tell California Legislators to Vote YES on #SB 878, the Reliable Scheduling Act
Stand with working families in California fighting for stable work schedules and paychecks!
Working people know how tough it can be to juggle work, school, family commitments, and everything else life throws our way.
But for folks who work in hourly jobs it's even more difficult when job schedules are not posted in advance and bosses can change, add, or drop hours at the very last minute. This tends to happen a lot in retail, an industry where women hold over 60% of the jobs. In California, nearly 1 in 3 workers receive their schedules one week or less in advance.
Even worse, uncertain scheduling means uncertain paychecks, leaving working families unsure of how much income they can rely on to budget for essentials like housing and food.
We believe it is time to for Reliable Schedules. Working families deserve it!
It's a simple idea: workers should know their schedule. And they should be compensated for last minutes changes.
California is now considering legislation that will provide workers with more certainty in their job schedules and more stable income: the Reliable Scheduling Act (SB 878).
Take action to bring much needed stability to the lives of working families across our state: urge California legislators to vote YES on the Reliable Scheduling Act!
