Cocoon was filmed in 1982 mostly in Florida and the Bahamas and went on to be a hit movie. The B.F.L. light was just as the acronym implies, a huge par based lighting fixture that required a crane to hoist it, or many 728 members to assemble and wrangle it. Helium balloon lighting was a figment of the imagination back then.
