The Economic Policy Institute says if the House GOP health insurance bill becomes law the vast majority of Americans will be poorer, less healthy and more financially insecure.

EPI says the bill cuts $900 billion from Medicaid, which would result in 14 million people losing health insurance.

EPI says a 64 year old making $20,790 a year would pay $12,900 more each year for health insurance under the GOP bill, plus higher deductibles and co-pays.

A Bloomingdale's union worker speaking at a rally in New York opined that; "We need a real living wage that allows us to support our families and to put bread and butter on our tables."

Federal Judge Expresses Skepticism Over Trump Sanctuary City Order

A federal judge on Friday expressed skepticism about portions of a Trump administration order which would halt federal funding to cities, counties and states which refuse to cooperate with federal immigration agents.  A lawsuit was filed in January by the City of San Francisco and Santa Clara County, California, calling for an injunction on the order which threatens billions of dollars in federal aid nationwide to more than 300 “sanctuary” cities and counties.   The administration argued that the city and county do not have standing to challenge the order, as their fede
