Harvard Grad Workers Union Ballot Count Continues

The NLRB is expected to be counting the ballots in the Harvard grad worker union election Tuesday. The vote was held last week.

The votes haven't been counted yet due to ballot challenges. Counting resumes Tuesday to see if grad student workers will win the effort to join the UAW.

Gene M. Switzer, the NLRB's General Counsel, says there are roughly 3,500 votes. About a thousand of those were challenged and had to be addressed one by one.

The neo-Nazi "alt-right" and KKK couldn't be happier about the U.S. presidential election results.

In Washington D.C. over the weekend more than 200 neo-Nazis celebrated the Republican Electoral College presidential victory by railing against Jews and quoting Nazi propaganda in the original German.

Their message is that America belongs to white people.

They finished with their arms outstretched in the Nazi salute and shouts of "Heil the people! Heil victory!".

Trump Got 37 % Of Union Members' Votes, 43% Of Union Household Votes

Exit polling showed Trump got 43 percent of the union household vote with 51 percent from union households voting Clinton.

The AFL-CIO says that among union members - it was 56 percent for Clinton with Trump getting 37 percent.

Trump's union household vote percentage was three points higher than Mitt Romney's and Trump's union member vote percentage was four points higher than Romney's.

AFL-CIO: Election An Indictment Against Political Elites ,Anti-Worker Policies

AFL-CIO President Rich Trumka says more than anything the presidential election was an indictment of politics as usual.

Trumka says for too long political elites embraced economic policies that "hold down wages, increase inequality, diminish opportunity and ship American jobs overseas."

Trump made many promises to workers on trade, restoring manufacturing and reviving communities. Trumka says the labor movement will work to make promises of better lives for working people real.

Manipulated Primary Gave Us A Weaker Candidate - But Fight Goes On

National Nurses United Co-President Deborah Burger says manipulation of the Democratic presidential primary by the DNC ended up nominating a candidate chosen by party leaders not by the people.

Polls consistently showed Bernie Sanders was the Democrat who would run stronger in the general election. But Burger says Clinton was chosen instead from the top down by the powers that be instead of fairly by the people.
