The Culinary Workers Union is rallying Wednesday at Trump Hotel Las Vegas with a message for Donald Trump. Stop running away from your employees and negotiate a new labor deal.
Trump's Vegas hotel is anti-union and is refusing to negotiate with workers there who chose union representation. The hotel fought the workers every step of the way, even challenging their vote to form the union.
Trump Hotel is legally required to bargain with the workers.
Wednesday's rally will include the Culinary Workers, Laborers International Union of North America, workers from other hotels and faith leaders.
For any workers who think Trump will be on their side politically, know this. Trump's hotel has waged an aggressive anti-union, anti-worker campaign since the workers there started organizing. As a co-owner Donald Trump apparently approves of anti-union tactics used by the hotel including suspending workers for union activity and threats and interrogations against union supporters.
An NLRB administrative judge found the Trump hotel committed at least six illegal unfair labor practices.
