Workers - especially workers in unions - who voted Republican in November should pay special attention to this story.
In Missouri, New Hampshire and Kentucky Republican's controlling state legislatures are planning another assault on worker rights. They're preparing anti-union so-called 'right to work' laws designed to weaken worker organizations by bleeding dues money from them.
These laws ban workers from negotiating union shops where dues or fees must be paid to support union collective bargaining efforts. Majorities of workers in these shops ratify these contract clauses creating union shops but Republicans just elected with worker votes want to dictate to workers that they can't vote to have union shops. So they are using the power voters handed them to attack workers with these anti-union laws.
More assaults against basic human rights for workers are also expected from Republicans on the federal level.
