CWA Local 3176 has launched a web site called centuryteldoesnotcare.com to explain what workers at Century Tel are fighting for in a new labor contract. The local rejected the company''s latest offer and has authorized a strike.

The CWA contract at Century Tel in Florida expired 60 days ago. The union says it wants to keep employment protections its had for years rather than allow much more outsourcing of American jobs to overseas call centers.

CWA 3176 also says its fighting for better working conditions and to be treated with the respect the company demands from them.

The union has filed a dozen unfair labor practice charges against Century Tel at the NLRB.
