Telemundo’s Spanish-language performers now have a first ever contract! The contract marks a breakthrough after fifteen months of negotiations that followed a vote by Telemundo performers to unionize on March 8, 2017. For the first time, they will have residuals, health and pension contributions and minimum rates – the type of benefits that their English-language counterparts have always had but were never afforded to them until they voted to join SAG-AFTRA.
