Health Plan Eligibility

The MPI Health Plan has extended no cost COBRA benefit eligibility to participants whose qualifying period ended on July 25, 2020. 

This extension is for those active participants with a minimum of 100 hours worked or banked, but less than the 400 necessary to qualify. 

This extension will provide no cost COBRA benefits for up to 6 months. 

Members will be required to complete a COBRA enrollment form with MPIPHP by September 30, 2020 to qualify. 

This will provide continued health coverage through March 2021.



Extension of the IAP Early Withdrawal Program

With the end of the additional $600 from the CARES Act for Unemployment, employment slowly ramping up and Los Angeles still a hot spot for COVID-19 infections, the IAP COVID Hardship Withdrawal program has been extended through the end of the year. 

Applications need to be submitted by November 30th in order to be processed before the December 31st program expiration date.
