Class Description: 

Balloon Lighting Technicians are in demand and this class will give you the hands-on training to familiarize yourself with the function and operation of Lighting Balloons. This class will include discussion and hands-on training on:

• Safe handling of helium tanks, the use of regulators, channeling high pressure gas, and storing high pressure tanks.
• Helium and the dangers of asphyxiation.
• Good balloon operator characteristics.
• Flying smaller to medium size tungsten balloons.
• Prepping, inflating and testing smaller Tungsten units.
• Working with smaller to medium size balloons inside.
• Working with smaller to medium size balloon outside.
• Deflating, and wrapping smaller to medium size balloons

IMPORTANT INFORMATION YOU MUST KNOW:
• This CSATTF-funded class requires that you have completed all of your SAFETY PASS classes. You can check your status at https://portal.csatf.org/roster/general
• You may only take this course once within the CSATTF Training Eligibility Window (see Additional Information below for more details.)
• Placement in this class is not guaranteed until your eligibility with CSATTF and Local 728 is confirmed.
• Seating for this class is limited.
