This course will instruct the Set Lighting Technician in the use of underwater/wet lighting equipment, GFCIs and associated equipment.Working with equipment underwater has its' own uniques set of challenges that the underwater lighting technician must be familiar with before taking the job. We will be working with equipment buoyancy and mass, aquatic characteristics, underwater modifications, cable, lift bags, and using electricity in the water. The characteristics of light in the underwater environment will also be covered in this class as well as communication and working with in-water talent.Members who wish to learn to be shore support are welcome and encouraged to attend this class. If you wish to work in the water, you MUST be a certified diver and able to pass a basic medical questionnaire or have permission from a physician. The forms are available on the Training728 site.
