If the Affordable Care Act - Obamacare - is repealed 29.8 million people will lose their health insurance. And 1.2 million people will lose their jobs.
That's according to a new report from the Economic Policy Institute.
The report says the job losses are not just in health care but across the board. EPI says nearly 30 million people losing health insurance will also hurt the economy.
EPI says the Affordable Care Act helped tens of millions of people get health insurance by subsidizing individual policies and expanding Medicaid. Repealing the law will withdraw that support, meaning working people will have less money to spend on other things like food and rent.
