Mesa flight attendants are taking a strike vote later this month. The AFA-CWA represents Mesa workers have been in labor contract talks for years that are now stalled.
The union says they are underpaid compared to other flight attendants flying for United and American Airlines. Mesa is based in Phoenix.
AFA-CWA represents 700 Mesa flight attendants. If they vote to authorize a strike the workers can't call the strike until the National Medication Board must declares talks at an impasse.
A 30-day "cooling off" period is also required after that before a strike could start.
