National Nurses United say Trump/GOP health care ideas would accelerate the healthcare crisis, depriving tens of millions of people of health care. The nurses say to guarantee the best healthcare to the most people strengthening and expanding Medicare is "the only solution" should Obamacare be repealed. Numerous polls show Obamacare is more popular than repealing it. The Kaiser Family Foundation found in January that 75 percent of Americans either want lawmakers to leave Obamacare alone or repeal it only when they can replace it with another health care law.

Fight For $15's Mid-South Organizing Committee is suing the Memphis Police Department in federal court for allegedly harassing and trying to intimidate labor protesters and Fight For $15 organizers.

The suit also says the MPD is conducting illegal political surveillance on protesters.

Republican leaders in Congress are working on plans to cut health benefits for tens of millions of people. The harms from these cuts are likely to have the biggest impact on women, both for their own health benefits and as they try to manage health care for their families.

Every major source of health coverage is now at risk under the Republican health plans. This includes individual coverage bought through the Affordable Care Act, workplace health plans, Medicaid benefits for people struggling to make ends meet, and Medicare for seniors and people with disabilities.

Missouri became the 28th state to adopt an anti-union law banning majorities of workers in union workplaces from negotiating dues clauses in their contracts. The anti-union forces behind these laws call them 'Right To Work'. But they are designed to financially undermine and unions.

Former Labor Secretary Robert Reich says Trump's $1 trillion infrastructure plan is a big tax giveaway to the rich. He says non-union big Wall Street "mega-builders" will be the main beneficiaries and he says you and I will pay through the nose for it.

If the Affordable Care Act - Obamacare - is repealed 29.8 million people will lose their health insurance. And 1.2 million people will lose their jobs.

That's according to a new report from the Economic Policy Institute.

The report says the job losses are not just in health care but across the board. EPI says nearly 30 million people losing health insurance will also hurt the economy.
