A Statement from UAW President Dennis Williams Regarding the Orlando Attacks

UAW members are heartbroken over the senseless attacks in Orlando. We join our brothers and sisters in the labor movement and Americans everywhere in denouncing the hate that has yet again taken innocent lives and devastated our nation. We offer our prayers to the families of those killed and injured, the city of Orlando and the LGBT community. We continue to stand in solidarity in our commitment to the values that unite us, and not divide us.

Labor And Community Unite In Los Angeles To Fight Deportation Of Central American Asylum Seekers

A coalition of Los Angeles labor and community groups have come together to fight Department of Homeland Security plans to deport thousands of Central American immigrants.   Stop Separating Families said federal agents are stepping up arrests and deportations this month of those who had their asylum claims denied.
