I regret having to inform the membership of the passing of Brother Robert Good on August 30^th, 2024 at the age of 76.
Bob Good was initiated into Local 728 on October 1^st, 1992 and was a member of Local 728 for 20 years.

I regret having to inform the membership of the passing of Rosaleen “Rosie” King at the age of 68. The date of her passing is unconfirmed at this time.
Rosie was obligated in 1997 and was a 27-year-member of Local 728. She retired in February 2019. Rosie last worked as an ACLT on ET-Insider for several seasons.

Funeral Services: Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 9935 Mission Blvd, Jurupa Valley, CA 92509 at 11AM on Monday September 23, 2024.

I regret having to inform the membership of the passing of Local 728 member and IATSE Gold Card holder, Brother Charles “Chuck” Sharp at the age of 79 on August 17th, 2024. Brother Sharpe was obligated into membership on March 23, 1974 and was a 50 year member of Local 728. Chuck retired 17 years ago from Active membership in 2007.

I regret having to inform the membership of the passing of Craig Love, age 77 on 8-11-2024. Brother Love was a 24-year member of Local 728, having taken his oath of obligation on May 13^th, 2000. Craig retired from the industry in July 2011.

I regret having to inform the membership of the passing of John Carney on July 14^th 2024. Brother Carney was 79 years old. He was a 35-year member of Local 728 after taking his oath of obligation in May of 1989. John retired from work in 2016 after a 27 year career as a set lighting technician at which time he moved to the Santa Cruz area.

I regret having to inform the membership of the passing of Brother Troy Balcorta-Gonzalez on 7-24-2024 at the age of 27. Troy became a member of Local 728 on September 7^th, 2022.

It is my great regret to report the passing of member Brian J. White in an automobile accident on July 3rd at the age of 22. Brian became a member of Local 728 in August 2022. His father is our Local 728 brother, Jeff White.

I greatly regret having to inform the membership of the passing of Curtiss Bradford on July 1st at the age of 72. Brother Bradford was a 31-year-member of Local 728, swearing into membership in October 1992. His career as a lighting technician goes back much further than that. Curtiss was a long-time Gaffer. His CLT credits include; Rugrats, Switched at Birth, Independence Day, Dante’s Peak, Wild at Heart, Mall Cop, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, New Girl, Friends with Benefits and many, many more.

I regret having to inform the membership of the passing of Alberto Alonso on Thursday June 13^th, 2024 at the age of 54.
Brother Alonso became a 19-year member of Local 728 in 2004. He worked as a CLT, ACLT, Lighting and Rigging technician primarily on feature films and television series. He retired in 2020.

I deeply regret having to inform the membership of the passing of Donald “Don” Lewis on June 15^th 2024 at the age of 74.
Brother Lewis was a 48-year member of Local 728 having been sworn in September of 1976.
